In presence of water molecules, Acid gases such as carbon dioxide (CO2) and hydrogen sulfide (H2S) are corrosive and lead to corrosion issues for pipelines and another equipment. In the gas processing industries, regenerative solvents can be used to remove these compounds from natural gas. The most used of the regenerative chemical sweetening solvents are alkanol amines. Amines are weak organic bases that have been used for many years in gas treating to remove CO2 and H2S from natural gas. The rich amine (saturated amine from acidic gases), must be treated and reused for reducing costs and environmental problems.
